Geocaching and Flowering ... Tarundl, May 12, 2013

Our endless days of blue skies have blended into silver mists so with some of our hikers off on holidays, those remained decided it was time to get out as there are still some un-found geocahces.

Not any more! The Hospital Day photo contests calls for a photo of someone finding a geocache.!

The Taundl Creek Trail has had a difficult winter, with blow downs etc. ... if coming from the road it is best to keep to the left when you come to a Y, mid-way... you will have to go under and over fallen trees.

And then there was the very black stinky mud on the beach short-cut.

But we were rewarded by the wildflowers: violets, orchids, mimulus, lupins, salmonberries, elderberries, currents but no lilies yet!

Then, when we went to help what looked like a break-down we were rewarded with this fine feathered fellow.

Another great day in the neighbourhood and the elderberry flower cordial is bottled!
