After a meet-up in Sandspit off we went ... heading towards Gray Bay then turning here, there, etc. One of the reasons for this hike was that we had heard recently that a good Samaritan had cleared a pathway through the difficult re-gen slash that has been growing up so quickly. We were ready and all 4 of us in the car had been there before, some more than once!
While off we went, all sort of in agreement BUT then it got confusing ... is it left or right ... where did all these alders come from!!!!!
On we forged, with the car taking a bit of a scratching ................... finally after a couple of turn-arounds we met another car and a couple of motorcycles also looking for the right turn-off .... these roads are very narrow! We usually have a Plan B .....
And now we were ready for the alternate plan ... so some snacking, some stories, some wildlife we decided to head for My Poole ................
Sitting in the middle of the road ... reminiscing about last night's great Haida House meal we ate our lunch!
As usual Mt Poole has a beautiful sights/site ................. unfortunately we were the Over the Hill Riders, no matter it was still fun!
